"No, life cannot be understood flat on a page. It has to be lived; a person has to get out of his head, has to fall in love, has to memorize poems, has to jump off bridges into rivers, has to stand in an empty desert and whisper sonnets under his breath... We get one story, you and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn't it?"

How Did You...Oh Wait, You're God

How did you know?
That the struggles I deal with,
The ones where I feel all alone
Isolated from the rest of humanity.
The ones where I ask
Why do I have to go through this?
That those struggles turn into experiences
That I can share with other people.
Where suddenly, in that moment
I understand
Not the big picture
But a bigger one than before.
So that others don't have to feel
Like they are the only ones in the world.
Somehow you just knew

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: What! You too? I thought I was the only one." --C.S. Lewis
